Brockland Appointed to Webster Groves TIF Commission
Gene J. Brockland has been appointed by Webster Groves Mayor Gerry Welch and the Webster Groves City Council to a 4-year term, beginning November, 2005, as a member of the Webster Groves Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission. The TIF Commission operates under the Missouri TIF Act and is authorized by ordinance to hold public hearings and vote on proposed redevelopment areas, plans and projects involving tax increment financing, a financing tool often used by municipalities to encourage redevelopment of blighted property.
