Edward J. Griesedieck, III, a partner in the firm and member of the Management Committee. Ed has extensive experience in representing and counseling medium and large corporations and their related entities and families. Accordingly, the negotiation of contracts and transactions of all types for his corporate and real estate clients is a routine portion of his practice. Ed also acts as general counsel for many of these corporations throughout the Midwest and is intimately involved in the issues and concerns confronting medium to large sized businesses and their owners.
In conjunction with his corporate work, Mr. Griesedieck also focuses on the representation of a variety of commercial and residential land developers and builders. His practice includes all facets of real estate development, zoning, land use and development. Negotiating governmental assistance programs for these developments is also a significant area of practice. In conjunction with these real estate functions, Mr. Griesedieck also appears frequently before local zoning boards and planning commissions to negotiate all types of permits, zonings, governmental assistance and uses.
Mr. Griesedieck has acted as City Attorney and Prosecuting Attorney for a number of municipalities and has served as a municipal judge. He presently serves as a member of the City of Frontenac's Board of Adjustment. For the past 20 years. he has hosted the popular "Ask the Lawyer" program on KMOX/CBS Radio and speaks regularly on the various topics of real estate, zoning and corporate business. Mr. Griesedieck was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of both Corporate Law as well as the specialty area of Land Use and Zoning Law. Mr. Griesedieck graduated St. Louis University School of Law in 1983 and received his B.S. degree in 1980 from the University of Notre Dame. He is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois and is active in multiple civic and legal organizations. He is married with three children.
